FOR FOUNDER-LED BRANDS PAST $1M
BUSY IS NOT THE SAME AS GROWING.
Businesses come to me flat out. And not one of them can tell me which activities are actually growing the business, and which are just noise.
Nine minutes. Or skip it and read on.
BOOK A CLARITY CALLThirty minutes, no charge. I'll tell you what I think your business needs, and if I can help, I'll audit the lot for $2,950 plus GST at my founding rate and tell you what to stop, what to pause and what to do next.
TRUSTED BY
SIX IN A ROW
THE PROBLEM YOU THINK YOU HAVE, AND THE ONE YOU ACTUALLY HAVE.
Sometimes the thing they asked for was right. It just was not first. Every one of these was found in the first conversation or the first week, and all of them had already spoken to two or three agencies.
-
WHAT THE CLIENT CAME TO ME FOR
01Social media management
WHAT THE AUDIT FOUND
The audit showed email was driving the awareness, the traffic and the sales. Not social. That is where the time went instead, and the return was instant and has kept growing.
-
02
A marketing plan for outward-facing initiatives
There was no process from lead to quote to closed deal. No amount of new marketing was going to help until there was something for it to feed.
-
03
A new website design
They did need one. They needed a sales and pricing strategy first, short term and long, or they would have rebuilt the same problem in a nicer font.
-
04
Paid ad management
$5K a month going into a channel with almost no reporting, landing on a slow site that was bouncing people straight back out. It was never the ads. The foundation and the customer journey had to come first.
-
05
Klaviyo email management
They did need it. It was one piece of the puzzle. A niche business with real room to grow, and nothing joined up, planned or happening consistently anywhere else.
-
06
More ad spend, which really meant more sales
Conversion was low. It needed a site update, a customer journey and correct data on every product. Not a bigger budget. The new site converts better, and now scaling actually works.
If one of those made you wince, that is probably yours.
THE PATTERN
The Growth Stall Loop.
Almost every business I audit is somewhere on this circle, and most have been going round it for two or three years without anyone naming it.
Nobody decides to enter the loop. You get into it by making four sensible decisions in a row.
-
01
Unclear narrative
Direction fades. Decisions become gut calls.
-
02
Spaghetti strategy
Brand fragments. Messaging drifts.
-
03
Reactive marketing
Urgency replaces strategy. More activity, less impact.
-
04
Stalled growth
Effort increases. Momentum disappears.
The work isn't finding more to do. It's working out which part of the circle you're on, and getting off it.
The way outTHE WAY OUT
The way out of the stall.
Direction. Alignment. Momentum.

Solves Stalled growth

Yours to own, with me as your strategic partner or with your team in-house.
THE OUTCOME
Growth with clarity.
WHY THIS KEEPS HAPPENING
YOU ARE NOT MISSING SOMETHING OBVIOUS.
01
YOU ARE TOO CLOSE TO IT
You know the history behind every decision. The compromise that had to be made. The campaign that was supposed to be temporary. Your customer knows none of that, and neither does someone looking from outside.
02
EVERYONE YOU ASK HAS A STAKE
Ask the ads agency whether you should spend more on ads. You already know the answer. That is not dishonesty, it is what happens when the person diagnosing also sells the cure.
03
NOBODY SEES THE WHOLE THING
Each freelancer reports their own results and each one looks fine on its own. The gaps live in between them, which is exactly where nobody is looking.
04
MARKETING ACCUMULATES
It is much easier to start something new than to stop something old. So the channels, campaigns, subscriptions and weekly tasks stay, even when nobody can say what they are returning.
WHY I DO THIS
I TOOK MY OWN MEDICINE.
Eventually.

For ten years I co-ran a wine business. Good strategy, strong growth, a business I was proud of. I also did nearly every job in it, at a pace nobody should try to maintain, while telling myself that was simply what running a business looked like.
Then I started Brand Tales and, with impressive commitment, repeated the entire pattern.
By September 2025 I had ten retainers, no proper systems and a well developed habit of saying yes to everything. Busy, reactive, and doing precisely what I tell clients not to do.
So I stopped. I got a coach, worked out what my time and experience were actually worth, and cut the business back to a handful of clients.
My overheads dropped by 80 per cent. My profit went up.
That is why I sell focus. I have paid for the alternative.

80%
reduction in my overheads when I stopped trying to do everything
293%
growth in my own business the year I finally took my own advice
Turns out more was not the answer. Annoying, really.
WHAT I ACTUALLY DO
I FIND THE PROBLEM YOU ACTUALLY HAVE.
Whatever is going on, I come in independently and audit what you already have. Your platforms, your set-ups, your numbers, your customer journey.
I work alongside your team and whoever else you have. Your freelancers, your agencies. I am not there to replace any of them. I am there to bring an outside perspective and a set of skills nobody in the room has, and to find the gaps.
Then I tell you the actual problem. Not the one you think you have.
Because right now you are doing all the things, and you still cannot say which of them is working.
What I want to give you back is your life. Doing the things that bring value, and not having to do all of it.
Belle Cook, Brand Tales
WHAT I ACTUALLY GO THROUGH
THE ONE-PAGE ANSWER SITS ON TOP OF THE WORK. NOT INSTEAD OF IT.
The one-page diagnosis is the first thing you will read and the last thing I write. It gives you the actual problem, the biggest opportunity, the top three priorities, what should stop, and the one outcome the next 90 days should work toward.
Behind it sits all of this.
Show what each one covers Hide the detail
-
01
Business and commercial context
What the business is trying to achieve, and what it can realistically carry.
-
02
Measurement integrity
Whether the numbers you make decisions on are measuring what you think they are.
-
03
Channel performance
Spend, traffic, conversion and revenue per channel. Not whatever the platform claims for itself.
-
04
Customer and revenue
Who actually buys, how often they come back, and whether that matches who you are targeting.
-
05
Website and conversion
First visit to purchase. Navigation, product discovery, landing pages, forms, cart, checkout.
-
06
Email and retention
What your database is doing, what it is not, and whether you are ignoring people you already paid for.
-
07
Brand and messaging
Whether you say the same thing everywhere, and whether it is clear to someone with no internal context.
-
08
Team, suppliers and ownership
Who owns what, and which jobs are falling between your people, your freelancers and your agencies.
-
09
Revenue and momentum leaks
With a dollar figure attached where the data supports one. Where it does not, I say so instead of guessing.
-
10
Stop, keep, fix
A direct call on the work already underway.
-
11
The Brand Tales Scorecard
Nine dimensions assessed against visible evidence, so you can reassess later and see what moved.
-
12
Prioritised recommendations
Ranked by commercial impact, urgency, dependencies and what you can actually carry.
-
13
The 90-day order of operations
What happens first, what waits, who owns it, and what success looks like.
Detailed enough to defend. Concise enough to use.
WHAT LANDS IN YOUR INBOX
AND THEN A CONVERSATION ABOUT IT.
Yours to keep, and yours to hand to whoever does the work. Your team, another supplier, or me.
01
THE WRITTEN AUDIT
21 designed pages, with the one-page diagnosis on the front and Stop, Pause, Go inside. The evidence, the decisions and the order they happen in.
02
A RECORDED WALKTHROUGH
Me going through the findings in my own words, including the context and judgement that do not always fit neatly onto a page. Watch it twice. Send it to whoever needs to understand the decisions.
03
THE DECISION CALL
A proper conversation once you have read it and formed an opinion. Not a presentation where you see everything for the first time. It is for challenging the findings and working out what happens next.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT
+57%
total sales, year on year
They asked for a Klaviyo tune-up. They needed one plan connecting the team, the agencies, the journey and the site.
Pure Candle Supplies
+77%
loyalty revenue
Sign-ups were growing, so loyalty looked healthy. The real question was whether members were buying more often.
Natural Supply Co
15%
of online revenue
They assumed growth meant another channel. It was 6,700 subscribers nobody was emailing.

GOOD ADVICE SHOULD SHOW UP IN THE NUMBERS.
IN THEIR WORDS
DON'T JUST TAKE IT FROM ME.
Belle at Brand Tales has and continues to be a game changer for our business. If you are a business owner wearing too many hats and need to turn your ideas into execution, Belle will shape your ideas into measurable results, delivering growth and value for every dollar invested.
Belle has transformed our business. She is so insightful and has this incredible ability to quickly identify where the cracks are in a business, and find solutions to fix them up. Her reporting is top notch, as is her communication. There is no one I'd rather have in my business' corner than Belle.
Over 9 months Belinda truly became a part of our team and really helped put our strategy into action during a time where our team was under-resourced. She instantly got stuck into the work of crafting content with strong storytelling at its heart and we saw incredible results and improvements across our digital channels as a result. Couldn't recommend her more.
IS THIS YOU?
I would rather tell you now than three months in. If you are pre-revenue there is nothing to audit yet, and I would be charging you for an opinion.
And if you want someone to agree with a decision you have already made, I will not, and you will be annoyed about it.
This is for you if
- You are turning over $1M or more, with real money going out across several channels every month.
- You already have people doing the work. A coordinator, a manager, or an agency.
- There is plenty of activity, and nobody owning the direction.
- You want a plan your team can run, not another pair of hands.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
THE THINGS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK ME.
Are you going to tell me to fire my agency?
Probably not.
Most of the specialists I review are competent people doing the job they were engaged to do. The problem is usually that nobody has connected their work to one commercial direction.
If a supplier is not the right fit, I will tell you. If they are doing good work, I will tell you that too.
Do I have to work with you afterwards?
No. The Audit is complete on its own, everything in it is yours to keep, and there is no ongoing contract.
Some people take it and run it with their own team. Some hand sections to the specialists already working with them. Some ask me to stay on and steer it. Some need a different expert, and I help them work out what to look for. I take no referral commission from anyone I send you to.
You do not have to decide any of that now.
What if the data cannot be trusted?
That becomes part of the diagnosis.
I will show you what is unreliable, which decisions can still be made safely, and what needs repairing before anyone claims a return on anything.
What access do you need?
Read-only, wherever it is possible. Analytics, search, advertising, email, your ecommerce or booking system, and any reporting the business relies on.
I send one checklist with instructions for each. The fourteen business days start once access is verified, not when you pay.
Will you change things inside my accounts?
No. The Audit is diagnosis and direction.
I do not alter campaigns, tracking, websites, email flows or account settings as part of it.
What if my team cannot implement it?
Tell me on the call.
The Audit may still be worth doing, but I will be honest if what the business actually needs is someone steering it rather than a plan handed to a team without the room to run it.
THE NEXT STEP
BOOK A CLARITY CALL.
Thirty minutes with me. I will tell you what I think is actually going on, and if the Audit is not the right next thing, I will tell you that too.
If we go ahead, the Clarity Audit is $2,950 + GST at the founding rate (it goes to $3,500 after my next three). Half to start, fourteen business days, and everything in it is yours to keep. Already sure? Buy it here
